I love the little stunted trees or shrubs growing among the granite.

Thank you Jean. I think they are holm oak (encina) with some juniper thrown in here and there, both species adapted to drought conditions and nearly evergreen. Definitely trees. The smaller plants are bramble, dog rose and cistus, in the main.

It does look as if you could climb that hill - there seems to be a sort of pathway zig-zagging its way up.

There is a main path and it follows the horizon; I got to it from the left - a fairly easy route. But you are right Jenny, there are some faint paths zig-zagging their way up the slopes there. Well seen!
