Yes we do need some beauty and enjoyment in our lives at the moment, Andy. I hope Spring will soon arrive here, I'm so pleased that at a time like this, that I am allowed to go out into my garden and appreciate the new growth. The lilac trees are just starting to sprout new leaves, there are a few primroses sprouting around, but soon the blossom should start and then I can enjoy it. As I'm over 70, I may have to be restricted to just my garden for several months, according to the Government.

I hope your garden will bring you joy, Jenny. I will be relying on you to show us the beauty of spring that others will miss!

At the moment Scotland is not planning on completely isolating it's over 70's. We are being advised to cut our social contact by 75%. I think most of us intend to self isolate as much as possible so online friends will be important. Let's do our best to support and cheer each other.

It's all online support here now. Only essential food shops and chemist's trips are allowed, with the exception of key workers, dog owners, and ... workers travelling to and from work ... (this baffles everyone here; a paranoid government wanting everyone to work to avoid a Great Depression but then, everyone should stay at home.)
Everyone is totaly confused. Day 2 of 2 weeks? No chance of that. Day two of 4 plus months.

It's all change here and it's much the same as with you now although probably even more confused. The present Westminster government is not one to inspire trust but at least Nicola Sturgeon knows how to communicate.

Great idea Andy.............but hopefully I'll have some new spring shots to post rather than old ones. I posted one of some rather nice catkins today. I think you're right that we're all going to need some cheer in our lives over the coming months.

My wife and I are in our late 60's so won't be expected to self-islolate, but my wife is in the high risk category for health reasons. We'll certainly be being very careful about where we go, and what we do for the time being. We're of the mind that if one get gets the virus we both will..!!

Well, I'm in my early 60s, in a high risk category on health grounds and will shortly need continuing treatment. Seems unlikely that I will be having that so I have to keep my fingers and toes crossed, on many many fronts! Everything crossed for you both too andd all my IP friends of course!
The only positive thing is that I can continue giving classes to my students online or by telephone. Until they run out of money or their companies stop classes due to the imminent recession (Probably a Depression à la 1930s).
But that's all too gloomy so let's continue with posting beautiful photos!!!

I am about to post some spring photos from this year.

I missed Spring last year due to my disease and I will miss this one too, grrrrrrrrrr !!! But we have IP and we can go back to our archives to post pretty pictures of the past Spring seasons !!!

This is a mood booster!
Here all but essential shops are also closed now, everything's cancelled, schools closed, no hospital or care home visits allowed and people are asked to behave responsibly by avoiding contact. I guess if some idiots keep holding Corona parties we'll soon have curfews...

One of my students told me he was going to such a party.
He's a lawyer at a top law firm.
I cancelled the class.
I hope we will continue with online or telephone classes, but he hasn't confirmed!

Wow! What a stupid man, his judgement is so poor I wonder how he can be working with a top law firm!
