It was worthwhile going to the loo!! (with your camera)

My non-English speaking friends might be puzzled by the word 'loo'; certainly my Spanish students are surprised when I explain that it is the most common informal word for it but by no means impolite! It's not a word they have been taiught. As to it's origins, the myth is that it is from the French "Guardez Lieu!!, meaning "Mind out! Watch this space!!!" .. when the night's contents of the bucket were about to be thrown into the street gutter from an upper window. Sadly there is no evidence at all for this story, so myth it remains!
The danger is dropping the camera in it, as my girlfriend did with her brand new Samsung smartphone once! She was not a happy bunny as you can imagine, but had only herself to blame!

A loo with a view. It's not often that the smallest room has such a beautiful view. Just love the pantile roof

Although funnily enough, my loo window provides the best view from my flat but that's not saying much!

(I got a lighthouse shot from a "loo window" once, and totally laughed at myself for taking a camera in there ... but I guess I am in good company !! ) ...
