Just had a thought ... Maybe, an earthquake caused these rocks to fall from the clifftop above and they got stuck here in this form. And maybe it will take another one to dislodge them further. There aren't too many earthquakes in Central Spain, thankfully, but they do happen every couple of centuries or so!

Wonderful photo of these amazing shapes so precariously stacked. Hard for me to imagine how they got that way.
