Granite jumble

Granite jumble
These rocky rocks are delicately balanced. A strong gale, one too many mountain goats or me (I did start to go across but quickly changed my mind!), could easily topple these boulders into the void.
Sierra de La Cabrera.

Well captured Andy, what is amazing are the forces that deposited them there

Good decision not to climb on them Andy...................mind you, they'll probably be there for years yet before they all fall down!

Cracking shot though............

Thanks, Keith.
Just had a thought ... Maybe, an earthquake caused these rocks to fall from the clifftop above and they got stuck here in this form. And maybe it will take another one to dislodge them further. There aren't too many earthquakes in Central Spain, thankfully, but they do happen every couple of centuries or so!

Wonderful photo of these amazing shapes so precariously stacked. Hard for me to imagine how they got that way.
