The path straight ahead is an easy path to the beach. The signpost indicates the long-distance South west Peninsula Coast Path. The one that looks like it goes straight over the edge is in fact the easier path!

THAT is the South West Peninsula coast Path, Ron. The yellow sig post shows the way. I am standing on it!

Thank you Leon. I have been criticised for my high horizons. There are members who prefer no sky and others who prefer to see much more sky! I can't win!

I remember enough German from 2 years of study at school to understand the gist of the saying and I long ago decided on just that policy!
I can see the sun here in Madrid;. the first time for a long while. It won't last; very heavy rain and high winds due again later. But it's OK. we desperately need the rain!
