Kept trying to reply, Rosa but was thwarted by the Great-Ipernity-Go-Slow-Event!
As I type, the first snow of the Winter in Madrid is falling. It is already VERY cold (Madrid is the highest capital city in Europe and it does Winter cold like nowhere in England I have experienced - and I am old enough to remember the great Winter freeze of 63!). I know it is perishing your way, but it isn't warmer here, I can assure you of that! BRRRR!

As a youngster, I loved the freeze of 1963 Andy. I had to trudge through the deep know to a local farm for milk and there was a huge queue! Wrap up and keep warm :) I gave up yesterday on ipernity!

Bitterly cold and snow falling. Spain has had a lot of snow this Winter ... except Madrid until now! Warnings of travel chaos next week. I don't need this as I have a very heavy schedule and can't afford any class to be cancelled due to bad weather! We are paid by the hour we teach! It was ever thus here in Spain!

... but I have far more going for me in Spain than I ever did in Cornwall and I spent 25 years working in financial services in London before coming a cropper and de-camping to family territory in Cornwall. It is a far shorter step from Cornwall to Spain than it would ever have been from London to Spain.
Nonetheless, Brexit casts a very gloomy cloud on all of us ex-pats!
