Wow! awesome, I wonder how many thousands or even millions of years the rocks have been in this position.

I'm no expert but these ranges were uplifted when the African and Iberian plates collided, I'm not sure when but certainly millions rather than thousands of years. Thanks John!

That large darker rock looks a bit precarious..................

Belles boules granitiques

There are quite a few of these in the Sierra, Rol but I hesitate to publish them all as they begin to lose interest after shot number 261!!
I made that mistake 6 years ago when starting out on Panoramio. I was so impressed with these rocks (I still am!) that I uploaded far too many! I realised this when the first 3 or 4 got good viewer responses and comments but these quickly dwindled to nothing. I won't make the same mistake this time. An occasional shot should be ok!
