Orchid, Anacamptis picta.
Growing tall and happy in La Sierra de La Cabrera. By no means rare, but still a delight to come across one - or normally a few in close proximity!
I went to see if I could get some wild tulip and poppy shots yesterday.
No joy.
I got Spanish lavender and orchids instead!

Andy Rodker club has replied to Beatrice Degan(MARS)Just seen this comment (15 months late!!). Very many thanks!
Well, I have been brought up to believe that you don't pick wild flowers in places such as this and especially not wild orchids. So I don't.
But even if I did, by the time I got them home and in water after a long walk and long bus journey, then metro back, they would be in a very sorry state!!
All best wishes,
Andy
Thank you!
Good to see you here. It's been a few years since we corresponded on Pano! I never joined Flikr so my photos are here (with a few on 23hq).
All best wishes,
Andy
