No Christel - in early days we were a poor family. But there was an uncle of my father in Munich. This uncle, an engeneer and godparent of my father, build up the first german automatic anouncement of time. And he paid the Photographers.
My father was fascinated and made pictures with a lent camera in his free times at the weekends - with the money he bought this first Kamera in 1948 (the year of my birth). I made my first photo at the age of 4 with this camera. You can see the camera at my Album "Croquis" - it still exists.
