I'm listening to this on a very inexpensive net book, and you know what, it sounds fantastic!
The sound almost has a three-dimensional quality to it (for lack of better words at the moment).
The video imbeds this sound into a surreal, abstracted place and context, which is open to all kinds of interpretation. I like it.
This is far more interesting than MTV ;-)
Well Michael that comment has pleased me no end................Ive always wanted to play blues harmonica, had a couple of good mouth organs in the past but never quite got the hang of it.....Ive been teaching myself to play guitar for about 9 years and have managed to play a bit so I sort of feel the structure of the blues a bit better. I was in a local supermarket the other day and they had a Blue Parrot ( Im not joking) Harmonica and for some reason I bought it.....tried it out and it dosnt really work to well , But I managed to get a semblance of the Blues out of it........Ive ordered a better Diatonic Blues Harp off the internet and am waiting for it to pop through the door. knowing me Ill probably be only able to play something on the crappy one.....Will have to wait and see. Ps you are invited to the premier performance....thanks for looking in my friend see you later
Very well put together. I wish I could do something like this, but I don't have much of any computer skills. You are good with the harmonica. I tried to learn it last year, but still at the level of ...the little lamb! you are my sunshine!!!
Thanks Evelyne...bought a very cheap kids harmonica fro Asda / Wal Mart and foud that i could play it a bit......one problem with it was you actually get any sound from it when you blew........so by the time I had finished I had actually nearly turned blue in the face.....Have now bought a proper Blues harp and am over the Moon that I can play.......I think it is because Ive been teaching my self to play guitar for the last 9 years and now have an idea of how Blues music is structured
To play the harmonica, you should forget about breathing by the nose and breathe in and out by the mouth while you're playing. I learnt that in my harmonica class. In fact, it develops your breathing...and breathe from the stomach!
