Hnifsdalur


Another photo from the hiking yesterday. Just wanted to upload this one so I could link to a photo that shows Hnifsdalur that is a small village in the center of the photo :o)

Another very interest view from your homeland/-town. For me it's everytime such unreal... a lot of snow, sun and a man with short trousers and t-shirt. I think there's about 20 °C?

Thank you Sandra. It hardly ever gets 20°C here, everything over 15°C is a lot :o) The snow has usually melted by this time, but it has been rather cold and last week it snowed in the mountains so some of that snow is quite fresh :o)

Good grief - what a stunning view!!! Don't you need oxygen-masks when you are that high? (Jumbo-jets passing beneath you...etc) I remember having a big view while in Germany once, but it was nowhere as large and impressive as this! *Speechless* (although, clearly I am not!! :D )

Thank you very much Nigel. This is not so high, not many mountains over 700 meters around here. Just perfect for hiking on great days like that :o)

Takk Gunnsteinn. Ég átti Kistufellið eftir, veðrið var svo gott þarna að ég varð að skella mér. Svo er búið að biðja mig um að vera fararstjóri fyrir fólk sem vill klifra upp á Ernirinn frá Arnardalnum um helgina... veit ekki alveg hvernig mér líst á það...
