Sannarlega stillt kvöld, mikið ofsalega hlýtur að vera gaman að geta ferðast svona mikið vegna vinnunar.
Posted 4 months ago. ( permalink )
Oddur Jonsson pro replies:
Takk Ingibjörg. Stundum finnst mér það vera forréttindi að fá að ferðast svona um landið. Vildi helst vera eingöngu að mynda, vinnan stundum að þvælast fyrir :o)

Fallegur staður og stillt kvöld... en hvaða mannvirki eru þetta á brúninni á pollinum?

Oddur Jonsson pro replies:
Takk Begga. Veðrið var alveg rosalega stillt og fallegt og ég tímdi varla að fara að sofa :o) Þetta er einhver tunna með slöngu út úr, sjálfsagt verið eitthvað í sambandi við fiskeldið þarna við hliðina...

love the colors of the boat, but the keel looks a little bit leaning?
never the less a wonderful pic!!
Posted 4 months ago. ( permalink )
Oddur Jonsson pro replies:
Thank you ele. I think the keel looks like that because of the distortion from the lens :o)
Here is another photo of the boat and it doesn't look as bad here ;o)

There is still some snow in Iceland?
Posted 4 months ago. ( permalink )
Oddur Jonsson pro replies:
The snow is gone from the towns, but you can still see some snow in the mountains around my town :o)

Miz J. [ˈmiz ˈjā fə-ˈtä-grə-fē] pro replies:
Wow! This is fascinating... how are the temperatures lately in Iceland?
Here in Quebec, snow 's gone since about mid-april... But nice temperatures are really coming now...
Tough to live in Winterland, huh?
Posted 4 months ago. ( permalink )
Oddur Jonsson pro replies:
Now the temperatures are around 10°C or 50°F. it doesn't often get over 15°C or around 60°F, then it is really warm :o)
It can be tough to live in Winterland, but I just came back from NYC and Baltimore where I had to drink Coke or eat ice cream constantly because it was so hot! :D

Miz J. [ˈmiz ˈjā fə-ˈtä-grə-fē] pro replies:
Oh boy... and I was complaining about Canada... So it's already full Summer in NYC or is too much a temperature range for you? I thought it got wamer in Iceland than that... Poor you :-(
Posted 4 months ago. ( permalink )
Oddur Jonsson pro replies:
It was pretty warm in NYC, but I guess it gets even warmer there, I'm just not used to that much heat :o)
And it is not poor me, the temperature is just right for working outside in the nature, clean and fresh air and not too warm ;o)

Miz J. [ˈmiz ˈjā fə-ˈtä-grə-fē] pro replies:
I guess it's just a habit you have to get... I'm too Southern European for that I guess. I can stand Canadian Winters because I can ski, but also because the Summers are amazingly hot!
Posted 4 months ago. ( permalink )
Oddur Jonsson pro replies:
I guess I wouldn't complaint if the winters were a bit colder and the summers warmer ;o) Sometimes we have trouble keeping the skiing areas open because there isn't enough snow during the winter.... our skiing area is only 5 minutes away and I love skiing :o)
And if we could have a few really warm days during the summer, it would be great :o)
