At work II


I went to measure the depth of Ölfusá, near Selfoss. The weather looks a lot better than it felt, it was windy and cold, but at least the sun was shining. This is the jeep that was used to transport the boat we used.

Thank you Marco I had to lie down to get this point of view and try to get rid of my shadow... still can se a bit of it near the front tire :o)

Thank you Corinne. It is not very deep. The deepest part was only about 6-7 meters so it should be ok to build a bridge there :o)

Takk Begga. Já, það er eitthvað sem heillar við þessar vinnuvélar og stóru jeppa. Svo var bara svo bjart og skærir litirnir að ég stóðst ekki mátið að mynda :o)

I notice that most of your 4X4's in Iceland are heavily modified, with oversize tires and fender flares and snorkels. Not just for show either.
I really want to travel around and have a look at your country

Thank you John. There are a lot of heavily modified 4X4's here. This one is from an search and rescue squad and looking like that they can go almost everywhere in the wintertime. It is very popular to go on glaciers and travel off-road in the snow but in the summertime they will have to stay on the roads :o)

Yes I'm very into 4.x4's and driving one myself too. Actually its my third 4x4. There's a well known manufactor who makes this off-road kits for off-road cars on Iceland. You can come up with more shot like this;)
