Working at sea


I went to the eastern part of Iceland to explore the depth of Hamarsfjordur for future road over there. The weather was very beautiful but it was really cold -6° C (20F) and after staying in the boat for 8 hours I thought I would have to sleep in all my clothes to get warm again :o)

Nei, held ekki, annar þeirra heitir Tryggvi og hinn Emil... að mig minnir. Held að þeir búi báðir á eða við Djúpavog :o)

I would imagine tipping that boat over would be very expensive with all that equipment.

Thank you John. I did my best to tough it out but it was hard at 7 pm. when the sun was gone and the wind started to get even colder. If the boat would have tipped over I guess the equipment would have been the least of my worries. I was only wearing my usual working outfit and wasn't even wearing a life-west :o)

Takk Begga. Græjurnar standa nú ennþá fyrir sínu en þyrfti nú bráðlega að fara að skipta um. Við græjufíklarnir viljum alltaf fá það nýjasta og besta sem til er :o)

Bara sjóari eins og stóri bróðir :) Við erum með svipaðan bát hérna en hann er sennilega helmingi stærri. Mótorinn er allvega helmingi stærri :) Ég sé að þú ferð með nýju græjurnar á sjóinn :)

Já, ég þarf einstaka sinnum að verða sjóari í vinnunni, bara gaman að breyta til annað slagið :o)
Ég tók myndavélina með austur og af því veðrið var svo stillt og báturinn var yfirbyggður fremst, þá tók ég sénsinn og hafði hana með um borð :o)
