Things of the past


Two boats that are waiting to be restored and will be a part of the museum along with the Tower House, one of the oldest houses in Iceland.

Hm... I thought as much, because I can't found the right words to explain what I mean... I'll try it again:
The architecture of the house is a special one: very low ground floor (be) or first floor (ae) and the roof is the "real" floor. The question is: Why?
... huuuuuh.... hope you understand know, if not.... I've to learn english again... ;-)

This house was used as a warehouse and fish-processing plant and the ground floor is not very high. I guess the main storage was on the upper floor. I found some awesome pictures from inside this house on flickr, and you can take a look here
