Fresh start...


and old ships. Just went out to try my new camera and I think it is great, so this is my first picture from it ;o)
Few years ago, everything revolved about the fishing industry here, but now some of the ships are just gathering rust at the harbor :(

Takk Begga. Það er nú orðið dálitið síðan ég kom með mynd tekna um hábjartan dag, þannig að kannski var kominn tími til :o)
Ég er bara mjög sáttur við nýju vélina, þarf bara að læra betur á hana og finna eitthvað forrit til að eiga við raw-skrárnar.

Thank you Charon. The weather was fine today, even if the sun did not shine. It was snowing a little and you can even see the snowflakes if you look closely at the red boat :o) But the days are getting brighter and the sun will shine here soon ;o)

It's the same here in Canada. The fishing industry is all but dead. I'm afraid we've depleted the oceans of many fish in the last 100 years.

I think we still have a lot of fish left here. The problem is that the big fishing-firms here in Iceland have bought most of the quota and moved it away from Isafjordur :(

Ég svo sammála Beggu, það er viss stemning sem er í myndinni og bjögunin er stór hluti af myndinni sem gerir þessa stemningu.

Takk Íris. Ég er líka hrifinn af bjögun upp að vissu marki, fisheye finnst mér of mikið en þessar gleiðlinsur finnst mér alveg meiriháttar, samanber margar myndirnar hjá Röggu ;o)
Ég var að fá mér Nikon D300 og er bara mjög ánægður með gripinn :o)

Thank you AS. I guess the fishing industry is still the largest one here, now the boats are just smaller and much more of the fish is shipped away for final treatment elsewhere.
