Crash Landing

It looks like this boat took a wrong turn somewhere, but actually it will be a part of a bonfire here in Isafjordur when we say goodbye to the old year and start celebrating the new one.

Ótrúlegt, það eru að koma jól og það er rétt svo snjór í fjöllum!
Flott mynd og nýja linsan alveg að rokka ;o) Skemmtilegt hvernig báturinn lokar fyrir útsýnið út fjörðinn... og flottur staður fyrir varðeld :D

Oddur Jonsson pro replies:
Takk Begga.

Great shot. It's too bad that they'll be burning it though. I always like to come back after a time to see the disintegration progress, and take more photos.

Manolo pro says:
¡Buen trabajo!

EXIF is very interesting: you chose large f-number, sacrifying shutter speed. Why? (for us to learn!)
Posted 7 months ago. ( permalink )
Oddur Jonsson pro replies:
Hi Manolo. I'm no expert in this, but I wanted a large f-number and a slower shutter speed because it was getting dark and I was trying to get a sharp picture and get the details in the background as well :o)

Okay!

From far, it reminds me of the adventurers of ancient times.
Not so ancient.
1800 or 1900...
And:
Amundsen, Thor Heyerdal, Scott and so on, and so on.
The succesful ones.
And the ones who died following there dreams...
