We had to take our ship to Las Palmas in Canary Island In November 2008 for some repairs. We have been there many times before but I have never given my self time to drive around the Island and take pictures, so I decided to do that this time around. I rented a car on a Sunday and drove around the Island for 12 hours shooting everything in sight. I took over 500 photos but because of traffic and narrow roads I did not have much time to shoot when I stopped so I took many extra photos with different exposures to make sure I got the right one.

If any of you will go to Las Palmas in the future I recommend you take a drive around the Island like I did. If you are staying on the south part of the Island you should follow the road by the sea to the west all the way to Las Palmas. The drive from Las Palmas to Maspalomas by the highway is boring so I recommend you drive up to the mountains from Las Palmas and over the island down to where you started. The landscape in the mountains is beautiful and you won't get lost :)
