Hahaha I can understand that :) I had to practice a little bit when we named my oldest daughter Sigþrúður Margrét because I had always called my mother mamma or Dúa :)

I have tried to pronounce this name, but after one hour I was not able to pronouce anything..even my own name... :D
Icelandic sounds a bit funny to my ears.I wish I could understand it.
Snilld ekkert ödru..takk LOL...what did I wrote? ..
When does the translation starts for your language?
Thank you for sharing this picture.

Gunnsteinn Jonsson replies:
Thanks Corrinna :) haha I can imagine you had a difficult time trying to pronounce Sigþrúður :)
"Snilld" means great or fantastic - "ekkert öðru" I am not sure in what sentence it was used but it only means "nothing els" and takk means thanks :) I guess we will not see translation for our language in the nearest future because we are only 300 thousand, but who knows :)

Ah, I wish my own parents had stayed together for so long. Sadly they separated when I was just eight. So to have such a wonderful photograph is very precious :-))
