overwhelming view ... this world is so beatiful - each time
i see one of your landscape pics it leaves me breathless

this one makes me want to feel the softness of the water surface
( even though i know it's a long exposure effect )

An ND filter is a very dark filter that allows you the long exposure in daylight, turning it into night ;o) - without it the photo would just be white... A bit about it on Wikipedia

... and that waterfall looks so eerie. One long flow of ICE!!! Good work, Pixie! Checking Amazon there seem to be several different "densities" of ND, 0.6, 0.9 etc... I guess which one you use depends on how long you want the exposure to be etc.. Hmmm...

Takk Guðrún :o) Ég fékk að nota filterinn hennar Röggu þarna til að ná "Röggu effektinum" á vatnið ;o)

Ég snapa hann af henni næst, vona að það séu passlega margir mm fyrir mína linsu, einhverja linsu bara :)

Hann passaði reyndar ekki hjá mér, ég hélt honum fyrir framan hjá mér ;o) en það virkaði bara svona assgolli vel!

Já maður tjaldar því sem til er :) Ég er á fullu að taka myndir fyrir Tungumálaskólann „minn" www.skoli.eu og þurfti að taka mynd af gosi (ekki eldgosi) Þótti leiðinlegt að nota kók og átti bara eina tóma appelsínflösku frá því um daginn. Fann ekkert gos með sama lit, en er nýbúin að kaupa mér litla prismu til að horfa gegnum. Lagðist í sólina sem skein inn á stofugólfið, setti prismuna fyrir framan linsuna og þetta tókst bara bærilega, það er sem sagt bara límmiðinn sem er á myndinni og hann varð að mörgum límmiðum. Þetta var reyndar bara hægt með því að nota nýju 12-24 linsuna, glerið er „bogið" og prisman er það líka, dálítið, þannig gat ég náð sæmilegum fókus. Ég hendi henni snöggvast inn hjá mér svo þú getir séð árangurinn.

Já, það er oft skemmtilegustu myndirnar þar sem maður býr sér til lausnirnar sjálfur :o)
