My world for a day - Helgafell My world for a day - Helgafell
We had beautiful weather last Sunday, newly fallen snow and sunshine so I packed the camera and walked into the back land behind Hafnarfjörður where I live.

I could have been alone in the world, in this wide expanse of snow and lava, it was wonderful to totally disconnect from the daily life and enjoy the total quiet of the place and the warmth of the sun.

This is Helgafell.

Maður gerir sér ekki alveg grein fyrir stærðarhlutföllunum. Þetta virkar dálítið eins og þú hafir verið búin að labba marga kílómetra! Ekki er námusvæði bak við Helgafellið, við Krýsuvíkurveg? Held ég viti hvar þetta er, en er ekki alveg viss :o)

Helgafell liggur ca. 5 km. frá Bláfjallaafleggjaranum á Krýsuvíkurvegi... en ég lagði af stað frá Kaldárseli fyrir ofan Hafnarfjörð og hef líklega verið búin að labba ca. 2 km. þarna :o) ... og þar sem ég stend er ca. 1 km. yfir að Helgafellinu sjálfu :o) Þyrfti að sýna þér þetta á korti, fann bara ekkert nógu gott á netinu ;o)

Takk Gunnsteinn, held reyndar að ég hafi ekki notað takkann þarna... en ég var með fókusinn á Helgafellinu og það virðist hafa virkað þrátt fyrir sólina beint á móti. Það kom mér á óvart hvað þessi kom vel út :o)
