I stayed there for a night with family friends in 1972 (I was 14) but I remember it was magical and I had a wonderfully exciting ride along the lakeside road as pillion on a 1970 Ducati 750cc motorbike! Not something every 14 year old English schoolboy gets to do. I have never forgotten that short stay!
