This is a golf course in Denver shortly after sunrise. Its actually before the first tee time and what I really liked was the sense of the quiet that you can't hear. :-)

Not the only state capitol building with a dome covered in gold leaf, this is the west side of the Colorado State Capitol Building.

Tucked in a corner of the yard of this elementary school are several poles with ceramic objects stacked or strung up to a height of five and a half feet (~ 190 cm ). So that there is no confusion about it, I did not make this!

I was out walking the other day and really liked this fence section. It may have been the light and shadow as much as anything.

This isn't a new photo though it is new to my Ipernity docs. I wanted an Icon to go with the freshly started Denver, Colorado group and this seemed unique to Denver.

This is kind of cool - and kind of crazy. All my life I have been focused on not heating the whole outdoors. Yet, here is this gas fired sculpture sitting out in a plaza by a bunch of shops in Winter Park and its nice to sit by it on the benches provided.…

The sunset was well worth the price of admission. But then, I always think a great sunset is a bargain.

In the summer this is a fountain with multiple jets of water and unpredictable discharges that (mostly) kids can run through and play tag with. In the winter its a fun spiral pattern. I was the only 'kid' playing at the fountain this fine February morning…

There's a train that leaves Denver early in the morning and arrives at the Winter Park ski area about the time that the lifts start running. After disgorging its passengers, it moves to a siding in Fraser ( a couple miles away) and sits there until close…

Winter Park is a popular ski area about an hour and a half from Denver. This is in the Winter Park area and is on the uneasy border of the local/tourist economy.
