Thank you Steve and Ruth, I have only just noticed that there are two bees in the shot - there is a second, which looks like a honey bee or a hover fly, just to the end of the butterfly's right wing !!!

Gorgeous image. Interesting how the bumble bee's colour is similar to the butterfly. I can confirm the third insect is a fly, their eyes are very different to a bee's.
