All Hands On Deck ( plus those on lock duty )
Hiding behind he road bridge ( which is well narrow with bollards and on a bend ) is the Anchor , a well used watering hole for boatmen and other mortals alike . This boat did indeed negotiate the lock - parked up and in the pub !! The waterway is the Wey Navigation and Pyrford lock here is at the end of the longest stretch on this navigation . This section some of which is man made was opened in 1653 .
