Wie auch immer: Debian (however: Debian)

Zuerst habe ich die Ubuntu-Live-CD benutzt. Problem dabei: Er hat sich partout geweigert, meine - zugegeben recht Nonamige - Onboard-Grafikkarte zu erkennen. Also Debian-Etch-NetInstall probiert. Aber: Keine Chance mit der SATA-Festplatte. Schön, dachte ich mir, vielleicht ist bei der Installations-DVD der Treiber dabei: Fehlanzeige. Aber Ubtuntu ging doch, und wozu braucht ein Server eine erkannte Grafikkarte. Mein System jetzt: Ubuntu 7.10 mittels Alternate-CD installiert ;)

First i tried the Ubuntu live CD. But it was not able to install my (very noname) onboard graphics card, so i tried DEbian Etch NetInstall, but it wasn’t able to detect my SATA hard disk. Then i tried die installation DVD and hoped, the SATA drivers are available here, but nothing :( So i went back to Ubuntu, and at least i wanted to install a server from the beginning on, so why i need a detected graphics card? My system now: Ubuntu 7.10 via alternate CD.

Eines Tages werde ich Gentoo nutzen :)
