Half-burned, half-open motel in Aberdeen, OH

Half-burned, half-open motel in Aberdeen, OH
While driving on scenic highway 52 in southwest Ohio from Cincinnati to Huntington, West Virginia, I noticed a seeming glut of three things on the roadside: Mountain Dew signs, Mail Pouch Tobacco barns, and power plants; all of which I lost count of as the miles burned away.

One thing I only saw once, however, was this oddity in the town of Aberdeen: An old roadside motel; half of which had been severely damaged in a fire, and the other half of which (structurally conjoined, no less!) was apparently still open for business. Cars were parked outside the unburned portion, and the sign was illuminated as it had always been.
