Diwili is the "Festival Of Lights". It is celebrated in India and many other countries. It marks the beginning of the New Year. It also commemorates the return of Lord Rama, Sita and Lakshmana. Lord Rama was exiled for fourteen years. His return is celebrated. The Capital of Rama is lit with earthen oil lamps called "diyas".

Businesses close during the days of Diwili. People celebrate in many ways and light up the night with fire works and firecrackers. Family and friends buy new clothing, exchange gifts and sweet treats. Many fun and religious activities take place during this very scared and special time. I hope you enjoy the video! :)
