BP Area Annotated


See news story here. BP is proposing to put 6 tanks holding 10.7 million gallons of fuel just north of I-10 near Indian. The site is less than half a mile from the San Andreas fault and uphill from the Whitewater River, which is usually dry, but is used to recharge the aquifer using Colorado River water.
