Moine thrust belt

Moine thrust belt
Foreground is an imbricated thrust stack of Cambrian (and Ordovician?) sedimentary rock (quartzites) in the middle distance is Meall a'Ghuibhais a klippe of the Kinlochewe thrust sheet and is mostly Torridon sandstone overlying slices of Lewisian gneiss and Cambrian/Ordovician sedimentary rock.
Some of the flora present on the ridge and in the corrie points to slices of the An t-Sron formation and/or Durness limestone in the thrust stack.
