Rain Chain

This is a Japanese Rain Chain. It is a copper chain that hangs from my front gutter instead of a traditional (boring) downspout. Everyone who walks by my house asks me about it, as no one here has such a device. I always tell them that they need to come back when it is raining so they can see it action.

Here, for your viewing and listening pleasure, is my rain chain in action. I was standing on my front porch during a recent rain and recorded this with my digital camera.

Falling water, splashing, trickling, lovely sounds - BUT YOU CAN HAVE TOO MUCH OF IT! (Not meant as a criticism - more a cry from the heart. See my video here www.ipernity.com/doc/supercargo/home/video )

The rain chain is beautiful, Chaim! I love the sound of rain. And I'll watch this video often...especially now during our hot and humid summer in Tel Aviv :-)
