A fish-eyed mountain....


No eyes on the mountain no - I was referring to the lens :o)

On my way to the east end of Iceland yesterday I took this picture.... (yes I was driving BUT will go there next week on a small airplane because it is such a BEAUTIFUL part of Iceland)..

The only lens I have to take a picture of all of the mountain is the fishey and as I think I have said before -LOL- I LOVE THAT LENS :o)

Great shot. With a full frame 5D, you are making the best use of the fish eye! On the exif properties it says 15mm 35mm equivalent to 82.1mm. Doesn't really make sense, does it?

The exif info seems to be broken on Ipernity for quite a lot of Canon shooters.

It would seem to be. I've only seen a couple of Canon shooters exif data that isn't warped for the 35mm equivalence field. Mine are all way off (and inconsistent too). They should be a 1.6x factor for the 400D but it varies between 3.x and 5.x for some weird reason, and only on Ipernity.

Another spectacular image you have there, a fisheye is something I've not yet played with (they're a bit scarce for crop-sensor cameras).

Thank you so much David, I have another camera (not full framed) which I have tried the fisheye on and it pretty much comes out as a wide angle :o)
