Sad

Took this picture some weeks ago - always kinda browsed through it without really liking it - I somehow find it sad :o( It is a beautiful small waterfall located in a beautiful location...

I felt like looking closer at it now - tried to make it happier...

A very sad thing happened to our family a few days ago, a young woman lost her life....

If there is anything to learn from this, it is love your loved ones and show them and tell them by all the ways you can... You never know what happens next... :o(

Wow, nice to see it from this angle, and you really can see the red lava behind it.
So sorry for the loss
(is it me or Hilmar to the left of the waterfall)
Very good picture Ragga :)

I am sorry about your loss Ragnheiður. It is sad but true that we sometimes have to experience a loss like that to learn to appreciate our own simple life.

Myndin er fín.

You know we feel with you Ragnheidur.

Sometimes we get signs we don't recognise first like a picture of a waterfall that looks sad...
Posted 13 months ago. ( permalink )
Ragnheidur pro replies:
I actually am starting to believe in signs.... There have been times, where some bad things have happened where small things "told" us before... Thanks.

lunaryuna pro says:
there is indeed some sadness to the image, but I rather feel it like melancholy, like a longing and I hope that you will find a way to think of that lost person in a calm way, melancholic maybe but still with joy of having shared what you have shared. This too is a message of nature, as expressed by your beautiful photograph. I am very sorry for your family's loss and I hope time will be gentle with all of your feelings.

Calm and beautiful shot Ragga.

Honestly - for me this capture holds much hope in it... the surrounding, is dark and sad... but there is so much light (hope) in the middle... where the running water meets the calm and silent water. I am really feeling with you... it is always unbelievable if someone departs. But their departure usually also has a hopeful and lifegiving message for us. One you just said by yourself... to live every moment and show your loved ones how you care about them.

Ragnheidur pro replies:
Actually, when you put it like this - I do agree. One must always try to find something good in everything. I believe that Kristín (my beautiful niece) has found peace where she is and all her loved ones will remember her with warm feelings. The msgs it has given to us is to stand even closer together :o)
