So sad :o(

Well I can see a face here :o) AND it is sad..

Found these old deserted houses tonight, driving with a friend of mine (Gurry) - taken with my fisheye which explanes the bended lines... We have a lot of those old houses here, in fact all around Iceland... Some of them still stand, very lonely and old, some are just ruins and some are rebuilt....

Thanks... I happen to like the fisheye effect also... I know it "bends" the truth... but it looks nice IMHO

yes, i agree: a dark, sad face, but in a special way living.
Is this a house, where people were living in, in former times? I ask, because it is soo little.

I really think that people lived there, without knowing. The two houses stand side by side, this one beeing the small one and the other one bigger... My guess is that the people who lived there had something to do with fish/fishing... If I find out more... I will post it here :o)

Yes, it's a sad face ... maybe because of the scars on it's skin?! ;)

I like this picture. The colours and the contrast. I like also how the house just sits right on the lanscape without doing nothing else. So much monology, so modest and honest?
From an architectural point of view; that´s a common sight in Iceland, after the days of the turfhouses. In the turfhouses "we" combined architecture and landscaping. The landscape and the turfhouse became one, was even more of a landscape work :) This one goes to my favourites, because of its story.
