Inverted

This picture was taken on a small walk with some friends through one of the oldest cemeteries in Reykjavík. There were some really beautiful things to see there and interesting readings (some very sad)...

This picture is inverted - did it for a challenge on DPC (did not score that high)... First I had a look around here on ipernity to find some nice inverted images and really found some... I decided to try to make something similar to some that I liked the most....

First I made all the dark parts as dark as possible, selected black an made it white, made the picture B&W - and then blue-ish and THEN I inverted it.... Really like it my self... I did ask a minister if it was "rude" to post a picture of old graves but he said he didn´t think so... :o)

I really like old cemeteries, in Düsseldorf we have one too. But unfortunately it will be surrounded
by insurance buildings in the near future, what a shame :(

Ragnheidur pro replies:
YEs that is a shame but that is life - new buildings all over - this is happening here in Iceland but this cemetery is located in the old part of Reykjavík and is surrounded with old houses (almost :o)

Já já... það er ekki vafi, þér tekst að búa til list úr ljósmyndum, það þarf ekkert að fjöyrða um það við hverja mynd, þær eru hver annari betri. ;-)

It's a very nice shot I would have scored you high...lol. I have been trying to find just the right tombstone here in Florida for an art project I have been wanting to do, but the right stone, or opportunity hasn't presented itself, I would do the treatment as you have and go from there. Have a great day...grumpy

Ragnheidur pro replies:
Shame you are not on dpc, maybe I would have scored a little higher with your vote :o) I am sure you will find your art project opportunity :o) And if I can help you with the treatment - just let me know - BUT do know that my ps skills are NOT that great :o)

Vá, ég var búin að gleyma þessum göngutúr í Hólavallakirkjugarði. Takk fyrir að minna mig á það og þessi mynd er sko ekki ein af þínum verstu, eða þannig. Feiv sem sagt.

Yes, some of the inscriptions on gravestones can be so sad... This editing adds to the trauma! No peace for the wicked!!! :( Seriously though, a clever bit of editing! :)
