Breaking all the rules!!

Although the horizon is bent, long straw in front of me and some disturbing things in back of the "house" - I like it!!! The stars are so visible and the northern lights come out nicely in bw IMHO :o)

The funny thing is that I have a really hard time breaking rules!!! Regarding photo taking it is soooo hard - I liked this picture but was going to crop it and correct the horizon but decided to let it go :o)

love the photo!!! what equipment do you use? it has quite an IR feel to it
Posted 9 months ago. ( permalink )
Ragnheidur pro replies:
Hm, equipment!!! I took the picture with the 5D and 14mm - used Light Room to convert it from Raw, pushed up the contrast and gave the light in the picture some push.. I think that the IR feel comes from the fact that the northern lights are bright and that this picture was taken over a period of time (37 seconds to be exact :o)

You're welcome. That is a bit confusing, btw. I also know a few words of Polish, and in Polish tak is 'yes'.

Luckily your pics don't really need a language, we all understand them ;-)

You're not really breaking the rules. You force them to be a part of your creation. Very dramatic effect.

KliX says:
You make fantastic pictures of the wild nights of Iceland, with Auroras and wild landscapes. Don't care about rules. Forget about them. This is just great. I lie especially the structure in the grass and of the house and fabulous mysterious northern lights.
Is this a true B&W or it is a converted digital picture?
Excellent!
