Very good relativity in the choice of title. I think this is really good expressive work. Essentially I like the volume of black and the gravity it adds to the impression.
Subjectively though I wonder if there should be a little more variation in the black space to equate some dimensional sense of vertical and horizontal planes of sight? I reason that the body form is suspended (floats) in the volume of black space and because it is horizontal (lying down) the impression loses a dynamic of relevance with the inference of "Introspection"... self exploration, self discovery, looking into ones self.
I think if there was a subtly visible sense of vertical and horizontal dimensions behind the model then the image would visually have more potential in the context of Introspection as well as being grounded in the space.
Just some subjective thoughts in discussing and sharing ideas Christine and not any criticism of real relevance.
