Thanks a lot for your compliments and your fav's, Havran, I appreciate ;)

The Padaung are original from Northern Burma (Myanmar). They moved to Thailand when escaping from the terrible Burmese dictatorship. The Thai government has granted them a small territory in Northern Thailand, but they are not allowed to own neither land nor whatever right to trade with products from the land they live on. They have no passport, they can not move netiher witin Thailand nor out of Thailand. The result is obvious: their main income is tourism. They are skillful artisans and very very nice people, very sweet. Somehow every picture taken is worth some piece they sell, you feel "obliged". I took a lot of pictures and, therefore, I bought a lot of colourful scarfs, some simple jewelry and a coupe of beautiful little statues.

It is a very nice memory to me. But life is truly hard for millions of people out of our comfortable world.

Thanks a lot again for your visit ;)
