Cornish surfing waves

Cornish surfing waves
Not the largest of waves (hardly surprising considering the calm seas beyond them,) but still able to give excitement to those able the ride them. This is the mouth of Treyarnon Bay on the Atlantic coast of northern Cornwall just south of Padstow looking south towards the Newquay area.

Start swimming westward from here and you will eventually bump into North America - Newfoundland at about 2200 miles but if you miss that then it will be North Carolina at over 3500 miles (great circle routes.) Better to stick to surfing ;-)
