Castillo de Florejacs
The first documentary mentions Castle s.XI Florejacs are the probably oldest was a fortification, on which was built the medieval castle. Not only found some vestige Iberian, but the very name of the fortress might well, was derived from Loreac, Iberian language that would mean "fortified elevation of flowers". The name was Latinized by the Romans, as Floriacus, and went on to Florejacs. During the reconquest of Catalunya hands of the Saracens, the great leader of the area, Arneu Mir de Tost, Mr. Ager, will build or strengthen, in all probability, the medieval castle Florejacs the end of their campaigns, to the year 1063. Soon after, is documented as property of Pedro Ponce, who sold it to a cousin that Galcerán Erim, veguer Ager, nephew of the great man and a man of his confidence. The property was passed through the centuries by inheritance within the family, although there has been continuity in names due to the numerous transmissions through the female line.
