Blood Geyser

Blood Geyser
Named for the red algae around the geyser, Blood Geyser is one of the hydrothermal features in the Artist's Paint Pots area of Yellowstone National Park. It is along the walk through the area at the base of Paint Pot Hill. The walk is about a mile and takes you across the geyser basin and up and along the side of Paint Pot Hill to the mud pots which are the main feature of the area. Though small the area is interesting and beautiful and a "must stop" on the way through Yellowstone.
