Lower Palouse Falls

Lower Palouse Falls
This is another view of Palouse Falls, the more spectacular Lower Falls, taken by my wife. It gives, I think, a good sense of the dizzying height of cliffs around the falls

T:R:C, Linuxica Jenesis, Philkilla Clem, Scott Ferguson and 12 other people have particularly liked this photo

Yeah, very good sense of dizzying height =) Nicely captured! Have you guys decided which trail you're going to attempt to the bottom of the falls yet?

Ron Hanko has replied to Fizgig
We haven't. Your description of the trails made us hesitate.

What happened to all of the snow? An impressive falls.

Ron Hanko has replied to Esther
We've had hardly any snow this winter to the point that the farmers are beginning to worry.

looks like a big bathtub ;-). How big is it really?
Ron Hanko has replied to LutzP
The falls are 180 feet and so I would estimate the basin at about 400 feet across the long way.

It looks quite amazing! It's not often you get to look down on a waterfall unless you're in a plane!

The trek down to the bottom is indeed a rough trek, but this photo was taken from a viewing area that is only a few steps from the car park.
