Using a polarizer is a good point. I've been using a kind of cheap one that we had for our old finepix s9500 (same filter size) and have gotten some very nice results with the pair.
Yeah I've got a pretty cheap Fujiyama 58mm thread polarizer that I got when I was shooting with the S2 IS. I've found the polarizer helps the kit lens a lot when out in the sun. I also tend to only use the kit lens to shoot something with sky in it, (I'm still waiting for a 10-20 to replace it with).
Im getting a tokina 12-24 f4 from photobuff.com.au in a few weeks. With that and the 28-135 that i should be getting tomorrow, i will have some decent range covered.
Yeah, it is the IS one. I was going to get a sigma 24-70 but someone offered be a really good deal on the 28-135 and after seeing some shots from it, i was hooked. I figure for fast lenses, ill just use primes.
But yeah, I would really reccommend Photobuff if you were looking to buy something. Very good deals and you can sometimes work out a lower price too :D

I really am quite please with this. It's pretty much straight from the camera (+0.33 EV adjustment in Lightroom only).
