Bärenspuren 


In Cades Cove sieht man oft solche Baumstaemme, an denen Baerentatzen nach Kaefern und Maden gesucht haben. Die schmecken scheinbar sehr viel besser, als kameraschwingende Touristen ;-)

bei uns findet man dann eher tannenzapfen, die von eichhörnchen abgenagt wurden. :-)

I noticed this weekend on my hike that there were a number of hornet's nests in the ground along the trail that had been dug up, presumably by a bear, They like eating insects I guess! :)

For the first time, I have noticed hornet and yellow jacket warnings on the Abrams Falls trailhead. Usually they just warn you of bear activity ;-)
