Das war eine Flashflood, in einer der vergangenen Regensaisons. Da stieg das Wasser ringsum sehr schnell (auf dem Bild zu sehen ist das ueberflutete Gras in unserem Vorgarten), und die Ameisen wurden aus ihrem Bau gespuelt. Zum Ueberleben im Wasser lagen sie alle in einem dicken Haufen uebereinander.

Die sind auch alles andere als friedfertig - ich kann ein Lied davon singen! Aber wenn du einmal von diesen Winzlingen gebissen worden bist, bekommst du scharfe Augen, LOL!

They bit me more than once, back when we still had our own yard. You can be as careful as possible, but those little things are so sneaky!
