This morning I took this picture at sunrise near Sankathi Ghat along river Ganga in Varanasi (Benaras).
It is a first of the series of a new topic about wrestlers in Varanasi which I show here with no PP work for a change.
Here Pritvitraj is posing in a very classic way, he is the local champion of Girkoraman Kushti and trained by a Russian coach.
The gym where we did those pictures is facing river Ganga which gave this vivid colors so early in the morning.
Pehlwan means wrestler in Hindi.

En regardant ces photos, je trouve egalement que quelque chose de grec se degage, comme si je les avais prises sur une ile de la mer Egee en plein ete, alors que cette seance a eu lieu il y a quelques jours au milieu de l'hiver.
Et puis ici aussi tout peut correspondre puisque ce sport vient de Perse, et de la mediterranee...
