CASTING A STONE


Like a lake dwelling
in my boundaries
have I been resting here,
suspended…

Then,

You cast a stone
into the mirror
of my quiet surface

deep it sank

strong motions
were set free
concentric waves
expending
towards my shores

Will you cast another stone
or a feather next,

I wonder.
