ich schätze, das ist das bild zu der geschichte, die meine mutter zu gerne erzählt:
wir fuhren ostern (von köln aus) in die eifel zur verwandtschaft ... und plötzlich standen wir irgendwo am nürburgring in einem verspäteten schneegestöber. :-)

En zo duiken we ook hier de sneeuw in. Het lijkt erop dat je moeder (net als wij vanmorgen) ook verrast is door de sneeuw, want pumps lijkt mij niet zo handig in de sneeuw.

wie muss ich mir das eigentlich vorstellen? papa faehrt durch die verschneite eifel und denkt sich so: "jetzt ein foto". flux stehen geblieben, raus mit der isolette, frau und kind formschoen vorm besten stueck posiert und los?! ...nach picknick sieht es jedenfalls nicht aus.

ich denke, er wollte diese unglaublichkeit, eben diese überraschende rückkehr des winters zu österlicher zeit, mal eben dokumentieren. ... und früher machte man nicht so viele fotos. also mussten flugs die nötigsten besitztümer in ein bild gepackt werden. :-)

früher spielte das gewicht bei diesen luftpostbriefen nämlich echt noch eine rolle. ich hab meiner freundin immer auf luftpostpapier nach kanada geschrieben. .-)

Hier hat das Haifischmaul (so wurde der Olympia von 1953 genannt) noch das schwarze Besatzungkennzeichen (bis 1956), auf den anderen Bildern weist er sich eindeutig als den Gesetzlosen (Vorsicht, Lokalwitz ;)) zugehörig. Das Auto war wohl ein Stück Familienhistorie?

keine ahnung mehr, was da am straßenrand war. :-))

hier liegt etwas mehr, vor allem aber ist es eisigkalt. als ich gegen 8 uhr zur arbeit fuhr, hatten wir noch - 16 °C. :-)

this pic was taken by my father in the late 50s. I always make negative scans from these old agfa isolette shots. that's why the quality is quite good. :-)

Wonderful ... I love old pictures. Inherited many old 35mm slides when my father in law died last year, amazing pictures. Even a couple with gorillas smoking cigarettes at a zoo, couldn't and shouldn't be allowed these days ... but back then acceptable.
