4 photo's corrected using DxO Pro 8 then stitched together using PSE11 to make this panoramic shot showing the view inland (above car park) and further North along the coast.
It wasn't until I had put this shot together on the pc at home that I noticed a lad jumping while his mate took his photo ;-)

The first lighthouse at Lindesnes was lit only by 30 tallow candles. Later on, coal was burnt in an open iron brazier to make light. This can be seen just to the left of the white building. In 1822 the brazier was moved into a closed light-house which you can still see the remnants of. Also the lens assembly was installed here in 1854, until the new tower was finished in 1915.

There are also many traces of German building activity dating back to the Second World War visible in the lighthouse area, with building foundations, trenches, gun emplacements and rooms blasted out of the mountain. Parts of the complex are now accessible to the public and are sometimes used for, among other things, exhibitions.
