Die Aussicht vom Rand des Gran Cratere ist einfach spektakulär - der Blick geht über Vulcanello hinüber nach Lipari, der Doppelkegel dahinter ist die Insel Salina.

ein ähnlich beeindruckendes Erlebnis hatte ich 1955 - wir waren zu sechs Studenten mit dem Rad von München bis Cirkvenica gefahren - dann per Schiff die ganze Küste entlang - von Dubrovnik hoch in die Berge -
diesen Blick von weit oben hinunter aufs Meer werde ich nie vergessen -
